From a small family business venture in the early 1960s, Ali Alghanim Sons Automotive Company has grown into a market leader in Kuwait’s automotive sector, representing the world’s top luxury car brands including Rolls-Royce, BMW, MINI, Land Rover, and McLaren. Today, we pride ourselves as a major Kuwaiti public company comprised of a group of businesses in the automotive and automotive services fields established and operating in Kuwait, Iraq, and Egypt.
Through seven subsidiaries and affiliates, we have built up a highly diversified automotive portfolio that encompasses the import and distribution of passenger and commercial vehicles, ranging from entry-level to ultra-luxury brands, as well as heavy commercial vehicles and equipment. In addition, Ali Alghanim Sons is a trusted provider of after-sales services, rental and leasing services, car valuation services, certified used vehicle sales, technical inspection and vehicle registration renewal services as well as an importer and distributor of after-sales and aftermarket products,. 30 sales, service and spare parts facilities are part of our network which includes 8 vehicles showrooms, and 13 quick service centers; with more than 18,700 passenger units and 600 commercial and heavy equipment units sold since 2018.
Marking an important milestone on our journey to drive growth and create value, Ali Alghanim Sons Automotive Company listed its shares on Boursa Kuwait with a $3 billion offering in June 2022, making it the first automotive company in the GCC to issue shares to the public. At the end of 2021, our total assets stood at $482 million. Ali Alghanim and Sons Automotive Company
For 36 years since 1986, the name ‘Ali Alghanim and Sons’ in Kuwait has been strongly associated with BMW. In 1998, we added Land Rover to our portfolio and slowly made Range Rover the most sought-after SUV in Kuwait. In 2001, we became the authorized distributor of MINI, then we added Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 2003 followed by McLaren in 2012.
