Under the slogan "A New Step in Egyptian Manufacturing by Automobility," Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the production lines for "Geely" cars at the Bavarian Auto Manufacturing Company’s plant in the Sixth of October City. This strategic move aims to boost the local automotive industry in Egypt. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Industry; Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation; Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo; Eng. Adel Saeed El-Naggar, Governor of Giza; H.E. Ambassador Ghanim Saqr Ali Shahin Alghanim, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League; Eng. Fahad Ali Alghanim, Chairman of Ali Alghanim Sons Automotive Company and Chairman of Automobility; Captain Essam Al-Arjani, CEO of Al-Arjani Group; and Othman, Managing Director of Automobility. This initiative aligns with Automobility's commitment to advancing local manufacturing in accordance with the Egyptian government's strategy to localize the automotive industry. This strategy aims to support the national economy and create new job opportunities. The local manufacturing rate is 45%, and the factory features two production lines for Geely cars, with a total annual capacity of 10,000 vehicles. |
